Lorena Lourido is head of IKEA Food at Ingka Group, the biggest IKEA retailer, and together with her team and colleagues in the 31 markets, they make sure that 600 million customers yearly get a great experience in all IKEA restaurants, bistros, cafés and markets around the world.
Right now, their focus is to inspire those 600 million customers to choose plant-rich food with a tasteful range that is affordable, and to inspire the retail industry to lower food waste by sharing how Ingka became one of the first global companies to halve its food waste through setting bold goals, embrace new technology and create co-worker engagement.
Lorena started her IKEA career in different retail positions, leading her to the role as IKEA Food Manager for IKEA UK & Ireland and since 2020, she is in her current position of leading the Food agenda for Ingka Group.
Originally from Spain, Lorena lives in Malmö, Sweden, with her family. Lorena is an optimistic leader driven by the purpose of creating a better everyday life for the many. She is passionate about further exploring initiatives that can have a positive impact on people and the planet.
