Wendy Hughes is Chief Executive Officer of End Food Waste Australia, the national organisation leading collaboration across industry, government, researchers and communities to halve Australia's food waste by 2030.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience across government, agribusiness, higher education and the not-for-profit sector, Wendy has built her career bringing diverse stakeholders together to address complex economic, environmental and social challenges. Prior to joining End Food Waste Australia, she led organisations and partnerships focused on community impact, public policy and regional development, building a track record of fostering collaboration and turning complex challenges into collective action.
As CEO, Wendy works with partners across the food system to translate evidence into action, accelerate food waste reduction and strengthen food security, productivity and sustainability outcomes. She is a strong advocate for collective action and believes lasting systems change happens when organisations align around a shared purpose and work together to achieve impact at scale.
